Who I am
I'm Chinese shadow puppetry art inheritor, engaged in shadow puppetry art research for more than 40 years.
My mission is to promote Chinese traditional culture to the world.

Mr. Hou is proficient in shadow puppets carving techniques, shadow puppets performance and antique shadow puppets collection. He is the founder of shadow puppets art workshop and New Zealand Shadow Puppet Art Troupe Incorporated. Since 2016, he has been connecting with the publics and promoting Chinese shadow puppetry. In 2018, he Steped out to primary and secondary schools in New Zealand to teach shadow puppetry for teachers and students, and communities, libraries and churches to promote the art of shadow puppets for the publics as well. Served over thousand s children in past several years. He was awarded the honor certificate of "I am a Shadow Puppetry Star" by the Macau Shadow Puppetry Association. China Shadow Craftsman and other titles. Now he is an Honorary advisor to the Federation of World Cultural and Art Society.
